Ligia joined the EYP committee shortly after becoming a member and moving to London from New York City. As a communications specialist, she will help lead strategic marketing development, branding and public relations for EYP London.

Prior to moving to London, Ligia worked at Edelman, a leading independent global PR firm, for three years. At Edelman she handled responsibilities for a variety of corporate, consumer, technology and healthcare clients. Ligia also worked at a luxury eyewear products retailer in Brazil, FotoClick, where she facilitated distribution, purchasing and marketing.

A native of Brazil and Italy, Ligia graduated from Boston University with Bachelors degrees in economics and international relations. She also spent a semester at Bocconi University in Milan, Italy to take additional business courses. She speaks Portuguese, Italian,Spanish and French.

Ligia is a firm believer in community projects and the power of networking. She’s always curious to find opportunities to participate and add value -- a great stimulant to her both professionally and personally.
